The F4 Phantom is a twin-engine, long-range fighter bomber that has been broadly used over the years.
This plane was mostly used during the Vietnam War for bombing and air superiority purposes. Although it was a much heavier plane than most fighters, it could reach Mach 2. However, the F4 Phantom stands no chance against the extremely advanced 4th and 5th generation fighter jets that some armies can afford today.
In conclusion the F4 Phantom is nowadays an outdated plane for modern dog fighting but will remain as one of the most iconic planes of the Vietnam War era.
