Write a descriptive essay of an airplane (150 - 200 words). You have 20 minutes to do it. You can search the internet. Write it in a separate document and then copy and paste it here.

Remember to write down your surnme and name.

Nowadays, international flights are very common in our life. Obviously airplanes play an important role. Without that machines, we wouldn’t be able to travel around the world.

An airplane is a powered heavier than air vehicle with fixed wings. This first fact is very important, because if the airplane wasn’t heavier than air, it wouldn’t be able to fly.

On the one hand, they were a key point in communications years ago when letters must be sent the quickest possible. They also help now when packages are sent to other continents. It is also very cheap nowadays to take a flight, almost anyone can pay for it.
There are many models of airplanes because they can have many uses, for example, they can transport persons or materials between countries, they can be used just for fun or they can have a military use.
The spectrum of uses for airplanes includes recreation, transportation of goods and people, military.

To conclude, I consider that airplanes are the most important and complex vehicles in the world. They allow us to travel anywhere in the world in hours. Without the shadow of a doubt, I’d say that these vehicles are the future of mobility.

An airplane is a machine invented to be able to fly. The aim was to fly, however, actually it is used for many functions.

Albeit, it is necessary to take into account that it has been used for violent activities, for example they could take photos from their enemy, transport arms in short periods of time, and moreover, another input is that they were able to attack from the air with bombs. Nowadays, the hyper powerful engine transport merchandise and people. The plain has built bridges for countries and continents, helping globalization's development. Nevertheless, it is a means of transport that not many people have access to it.

And eventually, I think that the plan has evolved so much, it was and object made of wood and currently the mechanics try to build on lightweight materials, as plastics. To a certain extent, in my personal opinion, it is the best means of transport and he would give you high level of commodity a security.

When talking about airplanes, we all think about very technical facts. Everyone is shocked every time an airplane appears in the middle of our viewing scene.

Only with their appearance they attract everyone's attention. Many different shapes but actually the same base. Those wings that allow them to do incredible stunts, those ailerons that roll them sideways, those powerful engines that make the incredible idea of flying the immense iron basis, known as the fuselage, come true. In addition, each type of aircraft has its characteristic cockpit. Each part is essential and unique in these incredible machines, every detail has made airplanes an indispensable invention in our lives.

So we can conclude that airplanes are not only beautiful machines, they are also the representation of the technological evolution. The entire world requires the services that airplanes provide us such as transportation of people, goods delivery, security and defense, rescue and thousand more activities they do every day and we don’t even realize it so just think about the daily limitations we would have to face in the hypothetical case of not having them to make our life easier.

Just impossible.

MACHO FILLAT, MANUEL JESÚS

As technology has developed throughout the years, many forms of transportation have been invented and developed. One of the most important inventions of all the times is the airplane, which was invented by Wilbur and Orville Wright, who lived in Ohio. The Wright brothers were not the first that think about creating a machine that could fly, although they were the first to be successful on it.

The first airplane that they invented was so simple. It has a motor, four wings one pair in each side of the aircraft which generate lift, an elevator which allowed to go up and down and the fuselage which hold things together. Its appearance was very different if we compare it with the planes that we are used to see today.

This plane could not flight more than three hundred metres, and it was really difficult to take its control. However, this plane has inspired the majority of the airplanes that we know today and also other ways of transportation like helicopters or rockets. It is for that that we have to recognise its importance in the history and in our daily lives.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Planes are really complex machines which are constantly advancing in terms of technology, so each aerocraft updated these days is only a bridge to the construction of the perfect plane. Nowadays, the Eurofighter Typhoon is the ultimate European combat aeroplane, and it has equipped de latest weapons and gadgets to make it a real threaten to  the enemy´s army.

DANIEL GARCÍA CAÑADA

The aerodinamic design of the Eurofighter gives it the ability to reach speeds that are much higher tan even the sound barrier. At its tail, it has one wing which cuts air to make it reach such a extraodinarily high velocity. Another fact we should take into account is the great fuselage it has, which is the key structure which dotates this plane with these highlighted abilities it has. Furthermore, this fact does not decrease its weapon potential, due to its perfect balance between lightness and agresivity.

When it comes to weapons, there is a wide variety among its repertoire. It can carry remote control misiles and even portable machine guns, so this plane is the most versatile one Europe has ever seen.

In conclusion, and taking all the characteristics mentioned before into account, I strictly reivindicate that the European aerial space security is correctly protected by these futurist and innovating Air Force technology.

The A400 M “Atlas” is an airplane made by Airbus mainly for military transport. It is equipped with four powerful turboprop engines. A big improvement compared to the old beast AC130 “Hercules”, that was also a great engineering work. Some of its capabilities are the ability to transport vehicles, cargo, crew and even an small helicopter, with a very long range and in a more secure way.

The main float is located the 31 Wing, in Zaragoza. It is one of the newest airplanes in the Spanish Air Force, because the first units arrived by 2013 ,  and it is hoped to increase the number of A400 we currently have on service.

I have never seen one in person, but it is one of my favourite planes. I hope I can fly one of these. I prefer transport specialty rather than jet fighters, but only the best will be able to choose this destination.

Airplanes have been designed by humanity for centuries like Da Vinci did hundreds of years ago. Modern airplanes consist mainly in some parts common to all types of airplanes.

The shape of an airplane depends completely on the task it is given and designed for. Most Firefighter planes can land on water and have  big bodies that allow them to fill it completely up with water. In the other hand, fighter jets are designed for full speed and G-force maneouvres that are provided by aerodynamic designs.

In conclusion, many types of airplanes exist, each one constructed for an accurate task.

Among our current society, many people find themselves intrigued by the world of the military aviation. This can be due to the fact that the industries who provide planes to the different air forces, have developed huge flying machines such as the A400M or the C-130.

To start off, if we focus a bit more on the technical aspects of these two mentioned                 planes, we will see that every single piece that builds them up, from the tail to the cockpit, has a huge and complex background behind. For instance, the tail by its own is composed of a horizontal and a vertical stabilizer, rudder and an elevator.

Furthermore, this kind of planes are used to comply with several tasks. This ability of multi-tasking makes them be highly desired by every single air force around the world. For example, due to their fuselage, they have the ability of traveling great distances with many supplies to stand the whole trip.

To sum  up, military planes are not only popular due to all the fascinating mechanisms they have, but also because of all the facilities they have brought to our society.

The V-22 Osprey is a colossal aircraft 57 feet long and 84 feet wide. It is produced in the USA, also there are about 400 of them. It was first introduced in 2007 and its primary operators are US Air Force, US Navy and US Marine Corps.

The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor military aircraft. It is a combination of a conventional helicopter and a turboprop plane. It has two Rolls-Royce AE 1107C and it has a system so the aircraft could continue flying if one stopped working. It has a maximum rotor downwash speed of over 80 knots, which is around 150 km/h.

It has several functions in the army, it can be used for scouting dangerous zones, for troop transport and for combat missions. In general, it can be used for any close to the enemy mission if contact is probable.

It is a great machine, and it is fascinating because of its functioning that is quite unusual. It has also been very effective during its working the last 13 years.

We can distinguish many different types of planes, which can be classified depending on their function; fighters, transporters, others that are used for teaching how to fly... Today I am going to focus on the C101, the plane used by the students of the Spanish Airforce Academy to learn the basic concepts of flight.

It has two cockpits, one at the back for the teacher and the front one for the future professional pilot. The two places have exactly the same controls, this have been designed like this to be prepared in case the teacher has to take full control of the plane.

Talking about the exterior part of the plane, we can highlight it’s characteristic red colour, with some silver colored parts on the wings.

Another point to take into account when talking about this aircraft it's that is used by the Spanish Eagle Patrol for its shows.

The race to see which airplane is the best one has made enterprises to advance significantly in their methods when it comes to plane design. New ways of producing planes are ruling these days and the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is the perfect example of maximum progress.

The F-35 is a medium weight plane, very similar to the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor it just differs in the engine (it has only one) and in its wingspan which it is shorter. The engine is turbofan with afterburner included.

The F-35 is a stealthy plane, that is the reason why it has an amazing avionic and a very discreet design, the ailerons and the horizontal stabilizers are fully movable giving the plane a stunning manoeuvrability. As I wrote before, the big thing this plane has it is its avionics. This plane counts with some radars like the EOTS that give it the capacity to set an objective and shoot before even the F-35 is noticed, this gives a prodigious superiority in air to air combat.

In conclusion, the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is the best plane ever made in terms of design, attack capacity, versatility and engineering advance.

  1. If we think about a complex machine, the first thing we will probably imagine is an airplane. We can’t even simply imagine why or how they fly.

An airplane mainly consists in four parts. The cockpit, where the pilot can control the airplane. Then we have the fuselage where the wings are attached. The airplane rolls on landing gear during take off and landing. Attached to the wings, we usually find the engines. Most airplanes use turbine engines, but others use turboprops. Eventually, we find the tail, with vertical and horizontal stabilisers.

To conclude, I’d say that airplanes are very important in our society. Moreover, they are my favourite vehicles. I would like to pilot one of those fixed-wing machines in the future.
