2nd descriptive essay of an airplane. C.C. Rubén Cuenca Martínez. Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor

The F-22 is a high capability, stealth tactical fighter jet that was introduced in service in the US Army in 2005. It is one of the most highly recognizable fighter jets nowadays thanks to its smooth finish and its numerous appearances in war movies.

As one of the most technologically advanced fighter jets in the world this plane presents countless features that will ensure its victory during dogfights, such as its extreme control in flight and an almost nonexistent chance of being detected by any radar. A remarkable feature of this plane is that when carrying a missile, it will remain inside one of the wings until it is shot.

When talking about its appearance, some might recall it as a modern and improved version of the F-18, which is already a looker. On the other hand, it presents a big inconvenience: it is also the most expensive plane in service in almost every way.

Overall, the F-22 is one of the most efficient and good-looking fighter jets in term of air superiority that has ever been built, if not the most. However, its high construction and maintenance costs could end up getting it removed from service in the future.
