As one of the most broadly used transport airplanes of all time, the C-130 Hercules is a medium-large sized aircraft that stands out for its wonderful performance and capabilities for long distance travel and high load transportation. It has been manufactured in the US for more than fifty years now.

When talking about its appearance, the C-130 becomes highly recognizable thanks to its astonishing overall look and its pointed nose just in front of the cockpit. This plane is propelled by four turboprop engines that hang off both of its wings, which produce a characteristic low-rumbling sound when flying.

Although this aircraft was built for military use mainly, thanks to is polyvalence and endurance, it has ended up being used for a good amount of different missions, including sanitary and civil transportation missions, among others, by most of air forces around the world, even the Spanish Air Force. However, there are more advanced, new versions of this plane that make of the C-130 an even more efficient aircraft.

Summing up, this airplane gathers all the characteristics that any air force would look up when searching for a full-operative aircraft to put in service.

The famous C130 commonly known as Hercules, can be appreciated in a lot of films and tv series, because of the reputation it has forged in real missions. It is the military cargo plane by reference. Virtually every developed air force have owned at least one squadron of C130.

It is a four engine turboprop cargo plane conceived for a military purpose by Lockheed Martin.   With many practical uses besides carrying cargo, like paratrooper deployment, in-flight refueling or even close air support to ground troops, we can say it is a very capable and multi-role aircraft.

During its years on service, we have seen numerous versions of this plane. At the moment it is being replaced in a lot of countries by the Airbus A400, an even bigger cargo plane. However comparing its pros and cons in its practical uses, the overall balance will make us see a clear winner in the C130.

In conclusion, as it is one of the oldest plane still being made these days, we can assure it has been a very important plane in the military aviation sector.

Descriptive essay on a Helicopter from Antonio Martín Sánchez

As an introduction, the vast majority of occidental population knows about helicopter; however a small percentage of them have access to it for leisure time.

Beforehand, to introduce the topic, we have to take into account its origin. The birth of the helicopter is date on the Renaissance, it is said that the father of the helicopter could be Leonardo Da Vinci, who included the tail boom and mast. The Italian prodigy invented it with the aim of reaching the sky; therefore, we might firmly affirm that he got it. In addition, unconsciously, he gave to humanity the rotary-wing aircraft, an invention that is in growing trend nowadays. Among its many uses, we can find sanitary use for awkward or life threatening situations.

Going to the next point, my peer group are fanatical followers due to the “Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma”; otherwise, if you ask me what is the best part of it I would say the content of cowling. Consequently, I was used to fill up my free time studying this beast from heaven, from their stabilizer bar and rotor blade, which give him the enough stamina, through the motor mount, which houses inside the “Super Puma’s” heart.

Although the Hercules is a cargo plane, it is not a very heavy one, allowing to modify its uses as much as necessary, for example the gunship AC-130 is no more than modified C-130 with a whole armory within it, prepared to ground attacks. The landing-gear system of the Hercules is an important part that deserves to talk about, because its high cushion capacity makes possible the take offs and landings in quite abrupt runways, and the landing-gear of this plane is also able to withstand emergency splashdowns. The crew is made up of 2 pilots and the maximum payload it can lift is a bit more of 40´000 lbs.

To sum up, this incredible airplane has been purchased and used for more than 60 countries in a big number of operations of all kinds, and there have only been 30 accidents in all these years.

Human beings have been developing throught ages their means of transport, since horses or floats to huge planes which are able to transport an incredible amount of commodity and people through the sky with an incredible speed. One of this planes is the C-130 Hercules.

The C-130 Hercules is a médium-heavy tactical transport aircraft which is the main transport aircraft os many armed forces in the world. It has two wings and four turbine engines that are the responsible of giving stability to the aircraft.

It is also a really aerodynamic aircraft because of the shape it has and because of its alleron, its nose, its vertical stabilizer and its elevator which are crucial elements for the aircraft. The C-130 Hercules key is its fusselage that allows it to carry an immense amount of what we need to take. The cockpit is also quite big and let the pilots to be relatively comfortable.

To sum up, the C-130 Hercules is a great plane that han been really important to lot of crucial tasks and missions performed by lots of armies around the world.

Ever since aircrafts have existed, certain models have had a lasting impact on the industry. C-130 Hercules for instance is one of the most widely recognized airplanes in the world. A military plane that had an impact on air forces all over the world. Not all aircrafts had the same impact, which shows the importance it has reached.

The Hercules use powerful turboprops, making it able to carry heavy materials and many troops. For this reason, it is the role model for transport planes. Another notable property of this unique aircraft is its design, with a metal coloured fuselage where its aerodynamical shape ensures stability. Pilots have it simple to flight this plane, then the avionic systems inside the cockpit have been actualised every single year since it came into service.

However, the most iconic characteristic is the landing system. High resistant landing gears and a landing assistant, which provides pilots with enhanced situational awareness, make it possible to land the Hercules almost everywhere. No matter what kind of terrain or what weather conditions there are.

1st Descriptive essay of an airplane. (80-100 words version for Write and Improve) C.C. Rubén Cuenca Martínez. The F4 Phantom

The F4 Phantom is a twin-engine, long-range fighter bomber that has been broadly used over the years.

This plane was mostly used during the Vietnam War for bombing and air superiority purposes. Although it was a much heavier plane than most fighters, it could reach Mach 2. However, the F4 Phantom stands no chance against the extremely advanced 4th and 5th generation fighter jets that some armies can afford today.

In conclusion the F4 Phantom is nowadays an outdated plane for modern dog fighting but will remain as one of the most iconic planes of the Vietnam War era.
